Inter-Tribal Council of California, Inc (ITCC) is a statewide non-profit corporation designed to advance the economic, health, education, cultural and social status of all Native Americans in California. ITCC has been in existence for over 40 years and has a long history of promoting and implementing programs that improve the conditions of our tribal communities.
In 2008, the California Department of Mental Health with Mental Health Services Act funding, contracted with the ITCC to support collaboration between Native
American organizations and local county mental health departments. This was an effort to strengthen inclusion and engagement between Tribal communities and local mental health departments. This Resource Directory was developed to provide local county mental health departments information on California Indian Tribes, Tribal programs and Tribal organizations in each county.
We are hopeful that this directory will increase and improve the ability of county mental health departments and Tribal communities to provide mental health care to tribal people throughout California.
This directory is supported by information provided on ITCC’s Web site. The Web site information will be updated on a regular basis to provide the most current information available to maintain outreach and engagement efforts in the provision of tribal mental health care in native communities.
