The Family Violence Prevention & Services Program
provides a comprehensive range of intervention and prevention services to victims of family violence in targeted tribal areas.
The focus of the program is to provide family violence crisis intervention
services, legal advocacy, and individual system advocacy, peer counseling and community outreach. Another main thrust of this
program is the collaborative and cooperative agreements with existing service providers operating locally in each of the outreach
areas. This preferred method of cross-referrals gives ITCC an opportunity to serve as a resource to the general community
and also provides for community-wide education about the unique issues faced by victims of family violence in the Native American
community.
